After a body is found in a staged crime scene near the German-Austrian border, two detectives are sent to investigate. They soon discover more crime scenes with posed victims that resemble pagan rituals.German Officer Stocker and cynical and uncommitted Austrian Inspector Winter work together to catch a serial killer, who leaves messages and stylizes himself as Krampus, a folkloric demonic creature that must punish society for its sins.
